Isn't she a beauty?
She'll make a perfect sister for my MRM, Bunny. :)
I really have to do a proper update soon... since my last entry, I've welcomed some new girls into my little family, and said goodbye to a couple too.
Sooo a long update is in order.
Big shout out and thanks to Emily aka. godesia for mentioning my sweet Sherry in her blog.
Check out her beautiful Blythe dresses too! My Kenners are eyeing up The Bronte Collection!
In Feb/March I asked on DOA if anyone would take up a commission for a Tudor gown and headdress for Asta, my Elfdoll Ryung. I got quite a few responses, but chose the very lovely Yumiko_Ito to work on the gown for me.
Now it is complete!
Click here to see the full outfit!
I am sooo happy with the beautiful result!
I lost my credit card in the week so had to get it cancelled - when a replacement arrives in the next few days, I shall pay for the outfit and then it will be sent to me. Asta can't wait to wear it!
A HUUUGE thank you and hugs to Yumiko and her mum for commissioning this for me! <3
Soooo I turned that poor mistreated Saffy into a whole new doll! She's not perfect but I adore her. I have named her Chicken! I'm not sure why! ^_~
After removing all of that dreadful painted makeup she had before, I
smoothed out all of the scratches on her face (The previous
'customiser' used too harsh a sandpaper). I applied new makeup in chalk
pastels and sealed with MSC. She also has carved lips, which I think is
SO much fun to do! After a hair dye (Dylon Tangerine), new lashes and
sleep eyes (with really cute pullring charms), she is reborn!
Also I have welcomed a new Kenner into my family! I can't believe it, I own two Kenners! 0_o
Her name is Almond! I adopted her from the lovely genova. ^_^
Her hair is frizzy, she is slightly yellowed, her arms are very yellowy-orange and her legs don't bend at all - but I ADORE her! Her 'flaws' are all part of her charm! ^_^ Her eyelashes are perfect, and the eyechips are sparkly and gorgeous. She is soooo sweet!
She obviously has a lot of history too! She and Laura are always sharing stories. Almond's photoset is here!
In other news... I have sold Claude, my Last Kiss, because we just weren't bonding. She's been in my family a long time but.... it just wasn't working, even after I matted her. Oh well, hopefully she'll be happy with Otto in her new home! :-)
I have also traded Chroma (Star Dancer) for a Dainty Biscuit..............I can't wait until she arrives, I have lots of pretty clothes for her. I'm a sucker for fantasy hair.
AND I have used the cash from selling LK to buy... Heart of Montmartre! YAAAAAAAAY! See, I told you she'd be mine! I'm debating on whether or not to straighten her hair.
I think I'm pretty much cool for Blythes now! I'd obviously love a Kenner redhead but I'm not utterly desperate at this time. It's taken me quite a long time to acquire all my favourite girls, and sell the less-loved ones. I know what will happen though... another new release will take my breath away :-x
I'm also getting a bit fascinated by Pinky St now............... uh-oh, another obsession!!!
This poor thing is my current custom project! I have dubbed her 'Jane' for now, because she sorta reminds me of Baby Jane Hudson in this pic, lol!
I found her being sold as a bait doll on LJ, and she just screamed "help!" to me!
Her scalp can literally be pulled off, because there's some plastic broken off where the screw holds it in place.
As you can see in this photo, she has terrible terrible makeup! I had a hard time removing it all with isopropyl alcohol and sanding, but it's all gone now. The eyelids were covered in the stuff too. Her eyechips were really weird - the two pairs of front-facing ones had massive dilated pupils 0_o Needless to say, I scrapped those too!
Her face was also very scratched up - obviously her former 'customiser' used too harsh a sandpaper. I have managed to smooth most of the scratches out.
I also gave her hair a wash, and plan to dye it (either blue or tangerine?)
Don't worry Jane, you'll soon be restored to your former glory!
I'm trying my hand at lip carving. ON MY FIRST BLYTHE. Aaaah! If I ruin her, I'll hate myself! But it's going pretty well so far. I'm trying not to deviate too much from the natural Blythe shape - I don't want her to have a trout pout.
I can't wait until she's all done - It's so nerve wracking! ;)
OMG.
I am getting my first KENNER!
My Kozy is going to a new home as I hardly pay attention to her. And a lovely blonde Kenner is coming to live with me!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Meet Bunny!
Her hair could do with a wash but it's not urgent or anything...
Bunny is a sweet happy-go-lucky girl that really brightens up the day. I'm so glad to have her with me!
